The House of Yael

I’m Yael. This is the home I built for Jewish women who want it all — the news, the Torah, the identity, and the honest journey of building a life that actually looks like what they believe.

House of Yael — A Jewish Eye on the Morning Tuesday June 2 2026

Good morning. The world did what it does overnight, so here’s what matters. Three things on my radar today, and my two cents on each.

Israel Is Headed to Early Elections — in the Middle of a War

Overnight, the Knesset voted 106 to 0 in a first reading to advance a bill dissolving parliament and moving up the election. That was the coalition’s own bill, and not a single lawmaker voted against it. It still has to clear two more readings before it becomes law, so this is not final — but the direction is unmistakable, and Netanyahu framed it as having “completed a full four years.”

So Israel is very likely heading to the polls while soldiers are falling in Lebanon and a deal with Iran hangs in the balance. Some will call the timing reckless and some will call it overdue, and both sides will have a point. What I’ll say is this: a country that can argue this fiercely about its own leadership, out loud, while under fire on multiple fronts, is a country whose democracy is very much alive. We fight with each other because we are free to. Hold onto that.

Trump Declares a Hezbollah Ceasefire — and Hezbollah Keeps Firing

President Trump announced that “all shooting will stop” between Israel and Hezbollah after speaking with both sides, and said he pressed Netanyahu hard to agree. According to multiple reports, his message to the prime minister was blunt — that he was “saving” him and that “everybody hates Israel” right now. Israeli officials clarified that the truce does not cover ongoing threats in southern Lebanon. And within hours, Hezbollah kept right on attacking communities in the north.

This is what I keep trying to get across. A ceasefire that only one side honors is not a ceasefire — it is Israel holding its fire while the other side reloads. We have watched this exact movie more times than I can count, and it ends the same way every time. Peace that exists only on paper, announced from a podium an ocean away, is not peace. Watch what Hezbollah does, not what gets declared.

Netanyahu Says Iran’s Regime Is “Doomed to Fall” as Talks Teeter

At a farewell ceremony for the outgoing Mossad chief, Netanyahu said the foundations of the Iranian regime “have cracked” and that “it is doomed to fall.” At nearly the same time, a senior Iranian officer called renewed war with the United States “inevitable,” and an outlet tied to the Revolutionary Guard said Iran was suspending talks and opening “other fronts.” Trump, for his part, says a deal could still be reached “over the next week.”

Here is where I’ll plant my flag. Big talk about a regime being “doomed to fall” is easy to say at a podium and very hard to make true. Iran is rebuilding its missile sites in plain sight and threatening new fronts, and a deal that hands them a 60-day pause to keep digging is not the win it will be sold as. I want the regime gone as much as anyone — but wanting it does not make it so, and we cannot afford to confuse a strong speech with a finished job. Stay clear-eyed. This is not over, no matter who says it is.

Yael’s Take:

A country headed to elections in the middle of a war. A ceasefire that one side is already breaking. And a regime our leaders call doomed while it quietly rebuilds underground.

If your head is spinning this morning, that is the correct response. None of this is simple, and anyone selling you a clean, easy version of it is selling you something. Stay informed, stay skeptical of the easy answer, and do not look away just because it is a lot to hold. We were built for exactly this.

Be safe out there, be proud of who you are, and don’t you dare shrink. Back tonight.

Welcome to The House of Yael

House of Yael is the place I built because I couldn’t find what I needed anywhere else — a real, honest, Torah-grounded space for Jewish women who are trying to live with more intention, more faith, and more strength. Not a news ticker. Not a lecture. Just one Jewish woman documenting the journey of building a life that actually looks like what she believes — and inviting you to do the same.

This is for the woman who wants to go deeper in her faith, take better care of her body, navigate a complicated world with Jewish eyes, and build something that lasts.

You are in the right place.
